Hymers College has been educating students in Hull since 1893. Over 130 years, it has built a reputation as one of the strongest independent schools in the region, sending students to Oxford, Cambridge, and the country’s top universities.
By 2024, the school needed a prospectus that matched that reputation. The existing materials weren’t doing the brand justice. They wanted something that would stop a prospective parent in their tracks, give them a clear picture of what Hymers offers, and send them to the website to find out more.

52 Degrees North won the project through a competitive pitch process and got to work on the 2025 entry prospectus.
The brief wasn’t just about making something look good. The prospectus needed to show the full journey through the school, from the early years right through to sixth form. It needed to make every entry point feel accessible. And it needed to do two things at once: celebrate academic achievement and showcase the pastoral support that makes the school what it is.
We stripped back the content and focused it. Less information overload, more clear signposting. The result was a publication built to drive people to the website, not replace it.
That prospectus opened the door to a wider project. Hymers asked us to look at the full suite of brand materials. Billboards. Press advertising. Social media. Everything needed to pull together into a single identity, not a collection of separate assets that happened to share a logo.

A refreshed prospectus. A modernised brand. A consistent identity across every touchpoint, from a billboard on a main road to a post in a parent’s social media feed.
Hymers now has marketing materials that look as strong as the school’s academic record.
